EARTH HARMONIES
This video takes you straight from the Gornergrat to the heart of working with pigments. It describes the collaboration with the music artist and sound healer AlpSono from Zermatt. The development of the cooperation began last summer on the alp and is now continuing. It's about the translation of frequencies and harmonies in an improvised interplay of sound worlds. AlpSono further transforms the recordings into superimpositions and mixtures of fragments, so that whole symphonies emerge from them. The video was created in connection with an application for a scholarship and shows the transformation of visual color frequencies into audio sound frequencies and their interaction into a performative work of art.
WE TRANSLATE NATURE INSPIRATION INTO FREQUENCIES AND HARMONIES. WE COLLECT COLORS OF STONES AS FREQUENCIES WITH SOUND AND AS PIGMENT FOR PAINTING. SOUND AND PIGMENT ARE THE PALETTE FOR OUR ARTWORK OUT IN NATURE. WE CREATE LIVE PERFORMANCES PAINTING AND SINGING INTUITIVELY NATURE’S FREQUENCIES. THE CREATION DISAPPEARS WITH TIME BY NATURE’S ELEMENTS, LIKE SOUND DISAPPEARS WITH THE WIND.
Matterhorn worlds of sound
These three audio samples belong to the recordings from the alpine summer and were made in the environment of the high alpine world: rocks, glaciers and peaks. Waving grass, birds and sheep on the alpine pastures.
The Earth Harmonies project emerged from the experiments and experiences of the recordings, in which rock colors are translated into sound frequencies and combined in the performance as a complete work.
AlpSono
AlpSono, also Pete Pospisil, has been developing his sound worlds with overtone singing, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs and other eastern musical instruments for many years. He translates moods and perceptions into harmonies, which are expressed as fantastic soundscapes or work as a powerful healing method in connection with a human counterpart. His harmonies fulfill the needs of his counterpart with the required frequency, whereby the self-healing powers and energies are set in motion and dynamic and advance your healing process.
