z'HORU
Z'Horu is the name of the Matterhorn for the people of Zermatt. Through an invitation to this special place in the Swiss Alps, Deborah Kressebuch encountered this imposing mountain for the first time. The surrounding panorama is no less impressive. The inspirations led to this series of works, which is exhibited in the Hotel Daniela in Zermatt.
It was particularly important to produce the paintings from A-Z in-house, starting with the canvas and ending with the paint: the artist mixed her palette from pigments according to her own recipe and painted on self-made canvases, which were stretched and primed before painting.
The production of the color itself is part of the Pigment Art process, which is constantly being continued.
